Queen Mary Take to Pieces Model. This is one of her most sought after pieces! A cardboard model of the liner 12″ in length. Two screws hold the 13 decks into place. When the screws are loosened, you can remove the decks. Each deck has the Deck Plan of that deck printed on in full color! A chart is included with the descriptions of 240 points numbered on the model. The key chart states that two ordinary long pins make effective masts if pushed into the decks at the points marked. Each of the views is the same view that appeared on a famous series of Cunard post cards at the time. There is also a post card sized photo of the Cunard offices in Liverpool, as well as “The Public Space” and “The Saloon Lounge” of the Liverpool office. List of Cuanrd offices. c1921.

Small interior booklet. 16 pages + covers. 3.5×5.5″. Exterior photo, 12 elegant interior photographs– all are full page. We would date this item c1920 because the text mentions the addition of the liner to the Cunard fleet, and also refers to her as the Berengaria and the “ex Imperator” in several places. Captions. Nice bow view illustration on cover.
